2/3 done
And just like that, we are at the last 1/3 of the year. This month has been full of awards and recognitions, spiritual Lenten experiences, and growing in our faith.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our Read-a-Thon fundraiser. This was our first year doing this, and it was such a success. Our students logged over 68,500 minutes of reading and raised over $13,500! We are able to purchase two of our new Interactive White Boards that will be installed over Easter break! Thank you so much; we couldn't have done it without you!

We have raised over $13,500 and read over 68,545 minutes. That is an amazing accomplishment in our first time with this fundraiser. What I love the most is how we came together to READ (so important)!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser. Since we raised enough funds, in April, we will be having 2 new Interactive Whiteboards installed. One will be in Mrs. Holdcroft's room, and the other will be in Ms. Harper's room. We will continue to add the new technology in other rooms as we raise more funds, and we get into next school year's budget. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Basketball season
Season highlights!
Even with Covid, we had a successful season. There were a total of eight basketball teams this season.
8th grade boys were undefeated this season in CYO league and in the tournament. They have had four undefeated seasons over their career at St. Matthew and were CYO league champs six times. That is unbelievable!
7th grade boys played in the CYO league.
6th grade girls were runners up in the CYO league.
5th grade boys played in both CYO and PAL leagues.
4th grade girls took 1st place in league and runners up in the CYO tournament.
4th grade boys were runners up in the CYO tournament.
2nd grade boys didn’t place because they don’t keep score at that age. They progressed through out the season. They played in the CYO league.
K/1 do not keep score at that age either. They played in the CYO League and learned a lot this season.
