History of the House
The Bungalow became popular because it met the needs of changing times where the lower class was moving from apartments t private houses. Bungalows were modest and inexpensive for as little as $900 although the price rose to around $3,500 after the war/ They could be shipped by train and assembled on site so they were really good if you wanted a house quick. They can be found in a lot of older neighborhoods in America.
