No School Monday

Please remember that Monday is a holiday. We hope you have a relaxing long weekend and will see you on Tuesday.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

The first quarter of the year we have Parent/teacher conferences. P/T Conferences will be held on October 18, 2021. We will not have regular school inorder to have more time to meet with you and other parents. A link to an online scheduling site “signup genius” will be sent out Monday around 9:00 am for you to be able to choose the best time slot that works for you. Please remember that signups are available on a first come first serve basis. Meetings are limited to 15 minutes to make time for all parents. If you feel you need additional time just request a meeting after school when it will be convenient.

KAES Lois Mikesell Family Crisis Fund

KAES Lois Mikesell Family Crisis Fund

A crisis fund is now available to receive donations in memory of Lois Mikesell. Lois did so much to help people in need. It is believed this fund will continue to do what she did so much of. This fund has been set up in partnership with the Keene Church so funds can be given to the Keene Church or KAES.

Raise Craze has Ended! You Raised $29,445!

We completed our Raize-craze #kaeskindness fundraiser and surpassed our goal of $15,000 instead raising $29,544. That is so amazing and a great start to getting a middle school ninja course playground. Mr. Coulter had promised to do something crazy if students raised $20,000 so yesterday the students got to slime the principal and make him sleep out on the roof.

KAES shares kindness with CTA

Just because the #kaeskindness fundraiser is over, kindness does not have to stop. Yesterday the 2nd grade visited Chisholm Trail Academy and passed out kindness bags with a note from students and candy that were premade by the entire school. Booth CTA students and KAES students loved the event. It was also fun to see so many of out KAES graduates again.

Accounting and School Bills

Your monthly statement was mailed out on Thursday October 8. I apologize for the delay but sent them as soon as I possibly could. We will do our best to send them on the 1st of next month. If you see something that does make since or you think is incorrect, please contact Mr. Coulter. We have tried to make sure everything is correct but appreciate your patience.

Our Shoue Fundraiser has been completed.

We are excited to share that we are sending over 320 pairs of shoes to support micro businesses in other countries. Thank you everyone who helped make this happen.

KAES Gymnasium

You probably noticed that our new gym received our front doors. They are also starting to stocco that front of the building. Scaffolding has gone up this week and we should start seeing cement next week. Thank you for continuing to support this addition to KAES.

Roxie Visites KAES

The PreSchool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes had some special visitors this week from Colwick Pediatric Dentistry. Students learned how to best care for their teeth and what dentists and hygienist do at work.
