PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS ARE COMING!
Please see the attached LINK to BOOK Parent/Teacher Interview times! Our SAA Interviews will be taking place:
Tuesday, November 3rd: 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 5th: 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Please note these interviews will be by Phone call or Google Meet. Upon logging in, a parent/guardian will be provided with a choice of whether one wishes to meet through a Google meet or whether a phone call is preferred. If your preference is a phone call you will be asked to provide a phone number the teacher may reach you at.
Please also be aware the the interviews are ten (10) minutes, with two(2) minute transition times. Because interviews may be booked consecutively, the teachers will be working on keeping every interview time accordingly so all parents may be able to be provided with the opportunity to meet. If you would like to arrange another meet or time to further discuss an item or question, please know you may be able to reach out to the teacher during another time.
Thank you for your support as we move together to provide the best education possible for your child or children.
October 19 - November 1, 2020
The Scholastic book fair is returning to our school in a brand-new way!! From October 19 - November 1, families will be able to explore a virtual book fair from the comfort of their own homes!
Starting October 19, Sister Alphonse’s online book fair will go live, and families will be able to shop the Fair like any e-commerce site. Orders will then be shipped to your house, with free shipping for orders over $35. For those who wish to avoid shipping costs, there will be a Family Event day on Wednesday, Oct. 21st and Wednesday Oct. 28th where shopping between 6pm-8pm will be free shipping!!! Remember, all books sold at the fair will help our school get new books into our library.
HALLOWEEN WEEK AT SAA!
Students may dress in Halloween costuming on October 30th, with general safety guidelines in place which promote our Catholic teaching. No violent props, and please remind students that we are a K - 9 school and small children are also in the building. We will let children dress up at school, or have the choice of wearing orange and black.
Please see the attached guidelines that have been shared from Alberta Health Services regarding Halloween treats:
Alberta Health for families (Wash hands and disinfect packages before eating candy) https://www.alberta.ca/halloween-during-covid19.aspx
With safety protocols in place, please refrain from sending treats with students to school, as this may be difficult to monitor and control within the school.
We are planning on providing students with a treat on Wednesday with safety protocols in place. Please see the attached information BELOW which includes some of the fun activities that are planned for the week.
Thank you so much for your support!
