RECYCLING
JUAN JOSE FLOREZ 8C
Why is it important to recycle?
The benefit of recycling is that new materials can be made without having to spend more resources with those products which have been recycled.
when an item is recycled in the manufacturing process uses less energy than that required to make a new product.
Recycled materials prevent massive exploitation of mining resources and other more and contribute to have less pollution to the environment.
Recycling is important because it makes a separation of product and process new materials to make them better organized and makes us have a conscience ambbiental and invites us to care for the world that is ours.
What is the recycling greatest ecnonomic benefit?
Saves money because running a waste management facility is super expensive. There are a lot of bells and whistles required to keep operations running smoothly and effectively. A recycling facility, however, is much more cost-efficient than waste management deciding to dump in a landfill or incinerate trash.
What are the environmental benefits of recycle?
Recycling reduces pollution because trash isn’t being burned, greenhouse gas emissions would be reduce, Recycling hazardous waste prevents it from going into the landfill where it seeps into the ground, 95% energy savings; recycling of one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for 3 hours, If we recycled every plastic bottle we used, we would keep 2 billion tons of plastic out of landfills, Recycling of one ton of paper saves 17 trees and 7000 gallons of water, 1 ton of glass made from 50% recycled materials saves 250 lbs. of mining waste.
what did you learn from recycle city?
I learn that there are a lot of ways of taking care of our enivronment with our community, rather than just running bike except of our car.
