About 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases are thought to be hereditary.
White women are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than are African-American women, but African-American women are more likely to die of this cancer.
Increased risk of Breast Cancer
Some increased risks are being a women and getting older. Women who had their menstrual cycle before they were 12 and/or went though menopause after 55 have a slighter risk of breast cancer.

You can limit your alcohol intake, control your weight, stay physically active.
