Indian Creek - June, 2017
Dear Indian Creek Parents,
Do you know about the Susan Jordan Summer Reading Challenge? It's a reading competition between ALL elementary schools in MSD of Lawrence Township! Indian Creek students must complete a reading log and 2 response sheets for books they read during the summer. And let's just say the reward for completing the challenge involves ice cream! What a great way to spend a lazy summer day! For more information, go to http://www.ltschools.org/announcements/read

Month in Review - May
Like most things in central Indiana during the month of May, Indian Creek Explorers were on the go! Our 1st grade students capped off their studies of animal habitats with a beautiful day at the Indianapolis Zoo. Fifth grades students had an equally picturesque day as they studied connections between art and STEM at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Fourth graders were flying high with their first annual 4th Grade Flight Day and field trip to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport. Was it a bird? Or a plane? No, it was our superhero 3rd grade Explorers here to save the day with their original fairy tales for Comicon Day! In addition to our indoor Field Day and rocking our Walk-a-thon, we dropped the checkered flag on our super 6th grade students as they took their final lap around the halls of Indian Creek with the traditional "clap-out" and 6th Grade Celebration. We'll always cherish the fun we had together this month as we raced to the finish of another successful school year!
