Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
April 27, 2018
A Great Week!
We made it through our LAST standardized test for the year! There was a collective sigh of relief and a cheer of celebration when we submitted our online tests!
I sure hope you will stop by the STEAM event at SRE on Saturday! It looks like it will be a blast. Lego extravaganza in the gymnasium, building and creating all over the school, and food/treats to enjoy. Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Don't forget...we will visit the Palladium on May 8. Permission slips for the field trip are due next Tuesday, May 1. We will walk on the Monon to get ice cream at Bub's, so there is a $2.50 fee for that. We will not need parent chaperones for this field trip.
Your child has the opportunity to end the year with another 3rd Grade Reading Challenge. Be sure to check your child's Rocket Folder for the permission form and the details of the last reading push of the year!

Some AMAZING things I saw this week in Room 9:
- Natalie was a WORKER in all areas of 3rd grade this week! She was a serious student who looked as though she was competing for an academic award all week long...speaking of competing - did you know she competed in a triathlon last weekend? What an accomplishment!
- Hazel turned in a Journal she wrote while she was away on a family vacation last week. Part of her writing described how she and her sister completed homework while on vacation. WOW!
- Shota has been spotted using his JAPANESE Dictionary on many occasions last week. I discussed how important it is for him to use this tool each day. He took me seriously!
Looking forward to a GREAT week next week!
Enjoy your weekend...
