RCG Volunteers Appreciated!
THANK YOU!
Shout out to the parents that helped out this weekend - drivers, chaperones, uniforms, food, pit, and props; we couldn't have done it without you! Special thanks to those that were up at the crack of dawn to ride the buses with the students. Thank you again to the parents that stepped up and helped load and unload the semi and prop trucks Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; the parent help is necessary and appreciated!
LOOKING AHEAD
October 19 - ISSMA in Chesterton, Indiana
We will be without some of the prop/pit coordinators on this date and will need some parents to fill in those gaps. We need someone to manage the loading and unloading of the props; 4-6 adults are needed for this. We also need an adult to coordinate the loading and unloading of the semi; 4 adults are needed to move items up and down the ramps. At the contest we will need to be sure that ALL of the volunteers that will be going onto the field know how to set the props correctly. There will be opportunities to practice prior to the 19th for those that have signed up to volunteer.
October 25 - BOA in Lucas Oil
Our semi driver, Chris, is not available on this date. If anyone has any contacts or leads with someone who can drive for us, please let me know. Sheri Elfreich president@hsehsbands.com

Color Guard Rehearsal Change This Week
We as a staff could not be more pleased with the product that the guard has put on the field these past two weekends! As we have benefited from our rehearsal days being one right into the other, the color guard guard staff has decided to move our Thursday after school rehearsal from Thursday this week to after school on Tuesday this week to go into our full ensemble that is at 6. Normal dinner time will still be at 5:30pm. We are so proud of the growth this group has done and the work and determination to get things right the first time is everything we could ask for. Please enjoy your Thursday off and remember only Tuesday this week!!! Keep pushing! A well deserved break is in your near future.
Go HSE!!!

Reminder: An order for plastic Scrip cards will be place on Monday at 9 PM.
Did you know that family and friends can buy Scrip and contribute to your student's account? E-cards can be ordered from anywhere on shopwithscrip.com. When a new account is set up, they can specify the student for whom they wish to help reduce fees. To purchase e-cards (and e-reloads), your family and friends will need to enroll in PrestoPay to link to a bank account. It's easy and secure, and you can learn more here. Or, payment by credit card is also supported now, but note that the fee is higher for each order.
Scrip is a year-round fundraising opportunity. Learn more on YouTube here. The band shares 90% of the rebates from your individual orders directly with your student's account through a fee reduction! Even if you have already paid your fees for 2019 (and you have, right?), now is the time to start buying Scrip to help reduce fees for 2020 marching band!
E-mail scrip@hsehsbands.com with the name of and your relationship to the student for which you wish to fund raise, and I can verify you as a parent or family member or friend. Once verified, I will send a link to make it easy for you to enroll.
For anyone placing an order for plastic cards before Monday at 9 PM, I will connect with you for delivery later in the week after I receive the cards.
Hoping you buy more Scrip,
Sarah Martin
Scrip Coordinator
