MESSAGE FROM MRS. MOTZNY

Dear Parents,

The safety and welfare of our students and staff are our highest priority. To provide schools an opportunity to practice emergency response procedures, our district Superintendent has asked all students and staff to participate in emergency preparedness drills on a continuous basis. The goals of the training drills are to improve our ability to protect students, save lives, and reduce injuries. They allow us to evaluate our emergency operations plan and improve our response skills. As part of the drill, the students and staff participate in the activation of our Campus Emergency Operations Plan. Your child will be participating in a practice drill on Friday, January 6th at Sampson. The drill practice will begin at approximately 1:40 p.m. and conclude around 1:50 p.m. This might be a good time to discuss your family’s home preparedness plan with your student(s). If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to call our school office at 281- 213-1600.

Sincerely,

Heather Motzny

4th and 5th grade had a wonderful time with one of our favorite authors Barbara O'Connor! She talked a lot about "show, don't tell" in her writing and how important reading is! All students who purchased books went home with their books yesterday.

The Jingle Bell Jog is here! We've been planning for months at Sampson, and it's finally time! We have worked hard to get special things for many participants. If you did not register, please be respectful of people who did register at this event. We look forward to so much fun.

All on-time registrants received their race bags on Wednesdays. Please check with your students first! Late registrants received their bags Thursday and Friday. Please let us know if you have any questions. A green paper with the below information was included. Thanks!
