Charleroi High School Scholar of the Quarter - Olivia Miller 9th grade
In an effort to recognize academic excellence, we are starting a "Scholar of the Quarter" Award. For each quarter, one student from the high school will be randomly selected from those students earning a 94% average or higher. Congratulations to Olivia Miller.
Camp Invention Summer School Opportunity
Thanks to Mrs. Kim Palonder, Camp Invention is again coming to Charleroi next summer.
The district received a grant from EQT to provide discounted registration for 115 elementary students (Camp Invention) for the week of June 19-23, 2017. The cost is $70 per student, discounted from $220. We also received funding to host a middle school program (Invention Project) for 30 students during an additional week in either July or August. Registration is $50, discounted from $275. Middle school students are able to register as a “Counselor in Training” for the elementary program (as well as the Invention Project program), which is $125, and they receive basically the same curriculum, but with additional materials. Essentially a middle school student can attend two weeks of camp for a total of $175. These programs are open to any student – not just in the Charleroi school district. Mrs. Palonder will have more information regarding this summer’s curriculum and registration after the holidays.
Don’t forget to start saving any recyclable materials and take apart items that our students can use to create STEM projects.!!

The delivery date will be on Tuesday, November 22nd. We will begin packaging the dinners at 8:00 am on the loading dock at the High School. You are invited to help package and deliver on Tuesday, Nov 22nd.
Our goal is to have 40 monetary donations to help these families.
