Shout Outs

Has anyone helped you out or made you smile? Please let know so I can send them a Shout-Out.

  • To Rachel for doing a great job subbing in Maura's classroom this week.
  • Maura would like to send a shout-out to her team, Sandy, Patti and Lori for going above and beyond to help with her class while she was out sick this week.
  • To Jessica and the first grade team for the excellent Core Ethical Values/literature lessons you provided me to share at the BOE meeting. They were very impressed.
  • To the reading department for making a creative bulletin board showing us with our favorite books.

  • Megan Callahan will be Mary Kate's long-term substitute. We are fortunate to have a substitute who knows Brewster so well. We know you will do a fantastic job, Megan.
  • Mary Kate's last day was yesterday. We can't wait to hear her baby news. She will be out for the remainder of the year.
  • Please update your sub plans to say in bold, "Please do not give students any food or candy." It should be on the top of your plans so a substitute can't miss it. Also, as we discussed opening day please include the initials of students who have allergies or other health issues and ask the sub to contact Mary Ellen with any concerns.
  • Dr. Veronesi will be visiting our school on Tuesday at 9:00.
  • It is time to begin cleaning out the things we no longer need to teach our students. This includes outdated supplies, paperwork, materials, teaching kits, furniture, electronics and equipment. Patti will be emailing you the specifics and timeline next week.
  • We will make a $148.00 donation from our October jean money for Breast Cancer Research.

  • Progress reports go home on Monday, November 30th.
  • Please hand in your conference schedule ASAP.
  • Tiger Robison's baby shower, Monday 4:00 with the Korn staff.

Thank you to all the people who made the November birthdays special by bringing in birthday treats. Happy birthday to Cathy Barra, Jeff Emack, Mary Provini, Linda Sierra and Megan Callahan.

The holidays are coming so don't forget to get your ugly sweater for the contest. We will announce the date in December after Thanksgiving. Also, give some thought to a staff holiday gathering. Sunshine is welcome to suggestions. See Patti or Sandy if you have an idea.

If you have noteworthy information or know a colleague who does, please share it with me so it can be acknowledged in our newsletter.
