Jocelyn Lamoureux

Her Life
She was born on July 3, 1989 to Jean Pierre and Linda Lamoureux. She lives in Grand Folks, North Dakota with her twin sister, Monique. Her motivation as an Olympian is her family. She is twenty four years old, which makes her maximum heart rate 196 beats. Therefore, her target heart rate should be between 157 and 176 beats per minute.
Her Olympic Experience
This is not the first Olympics she has competed in. She was also a member of the U.S. Women's Ice Hockey Team in 2008. Her team won gold that year. Also, she won the 2009 "rookie of the year" award as a U.S Olympian. She does a variety of exercises to prepare for the Olympics such as: off-ice drills, a variety of cardio, coordination development exercises, and stretches to improve joint flexibility.

Interesting Facts
- The pucks used in ice hockey are frozen before each game to ensure that they bounce off the ice less.
