The Wellwood Globe
Wellwood International January 2021
From the Principal's Desk
Warm Winter Greetings!
I hope you have been staying warm and that the winter break was enjoyable!
As you aware, BCPS is continuing to move forward after the ransomware attack this past November. Students with a windows-based device will need to have the device reimaged. As soon as a schedule for elementary students is offered, I will be sure to share this information with you. Students with Chromebooks do not need have their device reimaged.
Conference Day will be on January 13th. Teachers have shared this information with parents already. If you would like to schedule a conference, there is still time! Please send an email to the teacher and let them know that you are interested in meeting.
Stay well and take care!
Mrs. O’Neill, Principal

BCPS Calming Rooms
During overwhelming times in our life, it's important to find ways to relax and cope. The BCPS virtual calming room is a space that has been designed for students, families, and staff to identify and implement tools and strategies for navigating emotions and feelings.
The BCPS virtual calming room is broken down into seven categories: Animals, Books and Games, Creative, Mindfulness and Movement, Resources, Sensory, and Virtual Tours.
The BCPS virtual calming room is a result of collaborative efforts by the Mind Over Matters Campaign workgroup, Mental Health Services, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and the Office of Psychological Services.
You can access the Calming Room by clicking on this link.
Wellwood International strives to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring students in an engaging, rigorous and multi-cultural environment to instill inter-cultural understanding and respect.
