Our Vision: Every Student a Success!
Our Mission: Building Children, Character, and Community Everyday!
Happy Holidays
As we wrap up 2021 and break for the winter holiday, I take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helps make Rosa Parks/Millbrook an amazing place to be. Our daily mantra is that we build children, character, and community every day. We know that we are a legacy of many gifts and talents shared daily with each other, most importantly our students tp ensure a positive future for us all.
From the halls of RPM and all points in-between, our collective efforts are to educate and raise the whole child who is filled with passion, commitment and a willingness to make decisions that may be hard in the moment, but will have a positive and lasting influence in the future.
As parents, you are a critical part of all we hope to accomplish with our scholars. I am grateful to you for entrusting us with your most precious gifts. I am grateful to our wonderful, talented, creative, inquisitive, optimistic, resourceful, and resilient students. They make us laugh, sometimes cry, and always they make us think, but in all of our experiences, they make us better.
In this holiday season, I extend my appreciation to and for you. My hope is that you receive and return bountiful blessings and good tidings of this season. I am blessed to served as your Parks Principal; blessed by the hope, joy, and enthusiasm on each of our scholars faces each day to craft excellence in learning academically and socially.
Have a safe and joyous holiday season.
We Are One,
Yvonne M. Thornton

“A hundred years from now it will not matter, what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; but the world would be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
