LTMS Parent Newsletter

Message From Mr. McCracken
Happy New Year! We will kick off the semester strong at LTMS, once again encouraging students to do their very best with a positive attitude and maximum effort. The "Thought For the Week" graphic was shared with staff this week, and I think it's great for kids and adults. Also, I put a note in the newsletter below, but semester grades have been finalized and posted to Skyward. They posted twice, and due to a mistake, one of them is unreadable due to the logo. Sorry for any confusion.

8th Grade Activities
For a semester reward, the 8th graders took a bowling trip! This was a great experience not just because they got to take an excursion, but also because so many students are terrible bowlers, meaning they had to show some vulnerability and empathy!
As a fun wrap-up winter activity, the 8th grade team created a "Family Fued" style survey game. Students were surveyed on things like "Nicest Teacher" and then students competed to see if they could name what the survey says...
8th graders also had several parents and career experts visit before the break. Students learned the details behind a variety of jobs and careers as part of their career exploration for Pathways class. Thank you to all the parents that helped!
