Principal Welch's Weekly Update

Rodeo Break February 22nd-February 25th
Thank you Rincon Families!
Thank you to all of our families who completed the free and reduced lunch applications, including those families who do not qualify. This high level of participation helped Rincon to increase their Title I funds for next year. This funding helps the school in variety of ways that directly impact the experience students have while they are here. This is great news for Rincon and really shows that when our community works together, we can accomplish great things!
Way to Go!!!
Congratulations to our Winter Guard and Drumline! Last weekend they had some great success. Guard Purple scored 64.80, and Guard Black earned the top score in the division with 57.25! Drumline scored 67.45! This is a great start to the competitive season! We can’t wait to see how they improve these next few months!
Jazz Concert
Reminder, for our Jazz Band supporters and enthusiasts, RUSH Jazz will be holding their “Giant Steps” jazz concert this week, featuring Morani Sanders, on Tuesday, February 20th at Catalina High School. The auction begins at 6 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Come out and support our amazing RUHS jazz band!
Parent School Climate Survey: Your Input is Valuable
TUSD is currently administering the School Climate Survey.
This anonymous survey was established to collect feedback related to student engagement, school safety, and the learning environment.
Our district utilizes the survey data collected to gauge our connections and supports of students. Schools use this data to build action plans that are imperative in helping to improve our overall culture and relationships with students. No personally identifiable information is asked for or collected.
