Placement for 2019-2020
As you know, class placement is made after reviewing a considerable amount of data. If you feel that we would benefit from additional information, you are welcome to send an email directly to me at kcarter@cbsd.org by May 1st. Consider describing a classroom environment that would be beneficial to your son/daughter. In addition, share any information regarding academic, social or emotional information that you would like us to consider. You should not name a specific teacher. District staffing is not complete until June and teaching assignments may change. Please use this opportunity to speak to your child's strengths and needs. Please note: requests for specific teachers will not be considered.
Thank you,
Kelly Carter

· 4-doses of tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (1 dose on or after 4th birthday) (DTaP)
· 4-doses of polio (4th dose on or after 4th birthday and at least 6 months after previous dose given) (IPV)

· 3-doses of hepatitis B (Hep B)-properly spaced

Our Book of the Month
After reading Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett, Mr. Lechniak’s 6th grade class used Microsoft Teams to discuss the theme of the book as well as topics such as Magic, Generosity, Sharing, and Happiness. As a follow-up activity, students created yarn artwork as seen in the photos. Thank you Ms. Meier for developing “Book of the Month” at our school.

Mustang in Motion
We are live! http://ghsa.myfunrun.com
Mustangs In Motion web site is ready! All we need now is you! A dedicated website has been set up where you, your family, and your friends can donate to a student’s class or to their grade. Once you click on the above link you will be able to choose a grade or a specific teachers class.
The grade level with the highest donations at the close of the fundraising portion of the event will enjoy recognition and an afternoon of fun (think ice cream and extra recess). All money raised through this event is used to support a variety of activities: playground and gym equipment, classroom supplies, grade level activities, and school wide activities.
