Birch Meadow Newsflash
September 11, 2023
Notes From Dr. Burnham
*I’m excited that we will be hosting our Birch Meadow Curriculum Night on September 14th from 5:30-6:30 PM. The event will be a drop-in style event, so you are free to come at any point and visit not only student grade-level classrooms but our specialists as well. This event is parent / caregiver only and not intended for students. Please be aware that this is not a Conference Night and will not be conducive to conversations about individual student concerns with teachers. Look for our PTO table and fill out a CORI form while you are here if you are considering volunteering this year at the school!
*We were fortunate to have parent and student volunteers organize their local Reading Girl Scout Troop to come to the Birch Meadow Playground on 8/21 and roll up their sleeves to help rid the hill and rock area of broken glass (picture attached). With the combined efforts of students and parents the group was able to collect and remove FIFTEEN POUNDS of broken glass from the playground. Well done, and thank you!
*A brief reminder, that whenever possible, use crosswalks when approaching the building and if dropping students our front have them exit the vehicle from the passenger side. These two small actions keep everyone safe.
