Where Learning Comes First
Principal's Post
Dear Head Community,
I want to thank Thaddeus Springer for helping me run the school on Monday as Principal for a Day. I don't know which one of us had a better time!
I hope you enjoyed meeting with your child's teacher this week and learning about his/her progress. I saw many parents and teachers walking away with smiles on their faces. It is so important to bridge the gap between home and school. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule!
Please see the calendar at the bottom of this newsletter for some fun and important activities coming up next week. We'll be walking to school, wearing superhero gear, and dressing up as book characters... just to name a few! I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at the Art Show on Thursday. Wait until you see all of the masterpieces!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Each year, the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children hosts an Exceptional Children's Week (ECW) to provide a time for schools, districts, and educators to come together to acknowledge and celebrate students with exceptionalities.
Friday, March 17, is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in eCLASS and/or Google Classroom but do not have virtual class time with their teachers.
To ensure that students have a nutritious breakfast and lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff.
Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.
