Tribal Markings
Chingyan Huang and Amir Crockett
Tribal markings are used by many different tribes of people around the world. They are usually used to signify that a person belongs to a specific tribe, or they can show what patrilineal (paternal male side of a family) line they are descended from. Some minor functions are that the markings are beauty symbols, as well as symbols of creativity.

Each group has different rules about markings. They vary based on several different things such as gender, age, and social rank. When a person reaches adulthood they will have several sets of markings that signify a stage in their life or a certain characteristic.
