We Need Your Help!
As most of you know arrival and dismissal can be a hectic time. We would appreciate it if you could help us out by following the procedures we have put in place. This will make the process smoother for everyone. When driving through the parking lot please continue driving through until you see an open parking spot rather than stopping and waiting for a parking spot to open up. This will help with flow of traffic and ease some of the congestion on Curtis and Doris Road. We highly recommend the use of the loop for quick and easy dropoff and pick up.
If you are choosing to use the parking lot/parent walk up you must park in a legal parking spot and then utilize the crosswalk to walk your child to and from the school doors. Parking in the illegal spaces is preventing our buses from coming or going and is causing traffic congestion. You need to walk your students up to the building. Once again, If you would like to stay in your vehicle and drop off your student please use the Loop. . Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Coolidge Families,
Livonia Public Schools provides a multitude of resources to support your students in their
educational journey. Amongst these resources are digital libraries that give students and their
families opportunities to select books to promote independent reading as well as enhance their
learning. In our continued effort to partner with our families, we’d like to share detailed
information about these resources.
Our Library Media Center website contains a new tab for parents with two links detailing the
resources provided by the district as well as the resources provided by Coolidge. You
will find a description of each site and instructions on how to access the resources through that
site. The description includes:
name of the resource,
how they are used in Livonia Public Schools,
how the materials are selected,
which grade levels have access, and
how parents can access the resource (usually through the students' account).
For most of the resources, content is organized into categories based on a range of grade levels.
For example, Grades K-4 or Grades K-6. Parents are encouraged to review these resources with
their students. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of curricular materials, rather, an
account of the digital libraries that offer teacher-directed and independent reading choices to
students.
We hope this information will help families engage in dialogue with their children about their
reading interests.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me or the library media specialist.

FREE Chromebooks still available!
Good Afternoon LPS Families,
As you may recall, earlier this school year we offered free Chromebooks for students to use at home thanks to a grant from the FCC Emergency Connectivity Fund. This communication is to remind families of this opportunity as there are many Chromebooks still available. As we have distributed Chromebooks throughout this school year, we have had a number of questions asked by our families. We would like to answer some of these questions here to provide clarification around this wonderful opportunity.
Q: Can I get a Chromebook for every student in my household who attends Livonia Public Schools?
A: Yes. Any student, regardless of grade level, can receive a Chromebook.
Q: Do we have to return the Chromebook at the end of the school year or if my student is changing buildings within the district?
A: No. Students will keep the Chromebook at home for as long as they are with Livonia Public Schools. (These Chromebooks are configured to run only with a Livonia Public Schools email address.)
Q: Who is responsible if the Chromebook is damaged (for example: broken screen, missing keys, cracked case)?
A: Livonia Public Schools is not able to offer repair services in the event a Chromebook is damaged nor will the district be charging families for damage to a Chromebook. If a family wishes to have the Chromebook repaired, the family would be responsible for the costs associated with that repair.
Q: Does the student’s parent/guardian have to pick up the Chromebook?
A: No. Anyone (including the student) can pick up the Chromebook providing they show a picture ID so we can record who picked up the device.
Parents/guardians can complete the form below to request a district Chromebook for your student to use at home. Parents/guardians should carefully read the agreement in the form to be sure you understand and agree to all conditions of this program. These devices are to remain at home. Students do not need to bring the devices to school. If you have multiple students in the district requiring a device, please complete the form for each student. Once you have completed the form, you will receive an email explaining how to pick up the Chromebook.

Thank you!
Greetings,
The Livonia PTSA Council is once again hosting our Transportation Appreciation Event! This year, we are including the Maintenance and Warehouse workers as well! Our Transportation, Maintenance, and Warehouse staff work hard for our district and we want to show them how much they are appreciated! We will once again collect donated items for goodie bags to be presented to the staff in March. We have created an Amazon Wish List as well as a Memberhub link to collect monetary donations if families would rather have us shop! We are asking that all donations be received by March 1st.
Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/28ISQS99GBTKR
MemberHub Link: https://lptsacouncil.memberhub.com/store/items/826947
As in previous years, we are also asking for handmade cards or coloring sheets from the students to include in the bags. The staff has always said that those are the best part of this event! They love to see the hand-written notes/coloring sheets from the students. There is a QR code on the attached graphic that families can scan for access to coloring sheets that they can print at home and turn in to your unit's mailbox. Livonia PTSA Council members will collect all coloring sheets the week of March 1st. We will send out a roll call for coloring sheets a few days before to see which schools we need to collect from.
Please share the graphic on your social media pages and with your Principals for weekly updates. We appreciate your continued support of these events and for all that you do!
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Council Liaison. Thank You!
