Summit Lakes R7OL Weekly Bulletin
November 20, 2020
Calendar of Events
Nov. 23 - 4:00 pm - BOYS Basketball at Brittany Hill MS
Nov. 24 - 4:00 pm - Wrestling Meet at Harrisonville MS
Good afternoon SLMS R7OL families,
Due to the Board of Education's decision to move Hybrid students back to VIRTUAL Learning for the remainder of the first semester beginning Monday November 23, I want to provide some details that will impact your R7OL SLMS student.
Next Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, will remain the same for your student. Beginning Monday, November 30, for consistency, SLMS will utilize the same VL schedule that students and families became familiar with prior to shifting to Hybrid back in October. The only change being made will be to the Wednesday format. We will be keeping our Hybrid “WEDNESDAY” format during VL as both Hybrid and R7OL students have become comfortable with the live help sessions offered from 9:30-11:00am and again from 1:00-2:30pm.
Unfortunately, this will mean your student's class periods will be adjusted. We are aware of the conflicting times for your R7OL student's schedule. If your student has challenges adjusting, please reach out to a teacher, other staff member or administrator as we want to do our best to help your student be successful during yet another change.
We will be sending additional communication to families on Tuesday that will include the virtual schedule and provide the meeting codes for all teacher’s homeroom, class, and help session codes. The communication will also include student expectations during virtual learning for reference.
Thank you in advance for your continued flexibility and patience as we respond to the growing percentage of community spread and the need to maintain the safety of our students and staff.

school picture make-up and re-take day
For students who were unable to attend the previous school picture day, the make-up day will be on Wednesday, December 2 from 7:00-9:00 am (no appointment needed). This is your LAST CHANCE to have your student's picture in the school yearbook.
If students would like a re-take, they may do that at this time as well. The cost is $5 for re-takes. Student photo proofs (if your student attended the previous picture day) are available for pickup in the office. The full retake policy is described on the picture packets. If you ordered pictures but would like a re-take, please bring your purchased pictures with you on your retake day so you can exchange the same package at no extra cost.
