Happy Mother's Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day, a day with connections to our Unitarian history through Julia Ward Howe and her call for mother's to use their voices to call for peace and an end to war. Join us this Sunday to explore that and more.

Supply Drive for Our Spring Service Project

The kids started working on their service project last Sunday, and now they need your help! We're doing a supply drive for two different aspects of our project, and we need:

  • sandwich size zip lock bags
  • Individually wrapped non-perishable snacks, such as:
  • granola bars
  • crackers
  • cookies
  • sparkling waters
  • 1st Aid supplies such as:
  • band aids
  • disinfectant
  • blister and foot care items
  • chapstick
  • sunblock
  • Oral Hygiene items such as:
  • toothbrushes
  • tooth paste
  • dental floss

Look for our collection bins in the Commons and the RE Entry Hallway!

Sunday and Every Day: Taking It Home

We continued the spring service project last Sunday, and learned about Florence Nightingale.

Discuss it at home:

1. What is "medicine" anyway? How do we take good care of people in our society, and how are we failing to take care of one another?

2. Our 1st Unitarian Universalist Principle is 'The Inherent Worth and Dignity of All People". How does that Principle relate to the topic of medicine and health care?

Faith in Action:

Gather up some supplies for the children's supply drive! They will be building little 1st Aid and Oral Hygiene Kits, and also are collecting snacks to donate to the Olympia Free Clinic to help feed hungry volunteers there.

Not registered yet for this year's RE programs? It only takes a couple minutes!

If you have not already done so, please take some time this week to complete the registration form for the new program year.
