Wolves Weekly Message

Principal's Message
Dear Wakefield Middle School Families,
I hope you've all had a great week! Monday marks the start of masks moving from mandatory to recommended. Please know that we respect ALL students', staff's, and families' decisions regarding whether or not to wear a face covering. We hope that you will also communicate with your students regarding respecting others' opinions and decisions about face coverings moving forward.
With the loosened restrictions, there will be some additional modifications to current practices. Starting Monday, student water fountains will be fully open for use. We recommend that students bring personal water bottles. We will no longer supply cups for student use. Additionally, all classes will eat lunch in the cafeteria or outside (with their class). Students will not eat lunch in their classrooms.
Additionally, after the most recent changes to the CDC guidelines, WCPSS has lifted their masking restrictions on buses. Students who ride transportation to and from school will not be required to also wear face coverings.
Sincerely,
Alison Cleveland
