Liberty Bonds
The U.S. government sold Liberty bonds which were used in order to raise money for the war effort.
Saving Supplies
In WWI, everyone was encouraged not to waste items such as food and clothes, because these items would be needed for the soldiers overseas.
Shortage of Supplies
This just shows how everything possible was used to make sure the soldiers had ample supplies needed to win the war.
The Need for Socks
During WWI, soldiers were trapped in the trenches during long periods of stalemates. The trenches were wet, and caused soldiers to get trench foot. To prevent trench foot, soldiers were required to change socks three times daily. This required a high demand for socks.
Self-Reliance
Many people at home were forced to grow there own food because all the food grown by corperations was being sent to the soldiers.
