Penngrove Press
May 19, 2022
Dear Penngrove Families,
Wasn't Open House magical?! It was so wonderful to see many of you last week. The coming weeks have many more opportunities for us to all be together. Between field trips, Fiesta Familiar, Field Day, and end of year celebrations, we are sure to finish up the 2021-22 school year with a bang!
You may have heard me share before that spring is such an incredible season to be an educator. We find ourselves in that last academic push, celebrating ALL the learning that has taken place over the past 10 months. We're both impressed with what has been accomplished and equally aware of what's just ahead. Additionally, in the spring we usually say goodbye to people we cherish and hello to new faces who become a part of our Penngrove community. I've been really enjoying my time with Mrs. Harp, your new principal, and equally excited about the 4 new teachers we just hired last week! (names and grade levels to be released when hiring paperwork is complete)
Can you believe how grown up your #pennpanthers are?! I look around and just cannot believe my eyes! As always, thank you for sharing your precious children with us. We are so fortunate!
Enjoy this warm weather and see you around campus!
Mrs. Fadeji
P.S. Did you hear about Ms. J and Mr. Z's morning at the assembly yesterday?!

Penngrove Elementary has been blessed to have Fred Allen as the custodian on staff for the past 30+ years. If you've ever met Fred, you know what a caring and genuine person he is. Between keeping our learning spaces sparkling, lunchtime bonding, and handball games, Fred has changed countless students' lives at Penngrove. He is also a long-time member of the Petaluma community.
Fred is retiring and has mixed emotions about leaving his beloved town of Petaluma. Let's send Fred off into retirement in true Penngrove fashion. We're hoping to help Fred and his wife cover the cost of moving and support their search for a new home. We have so much love for Fred! We'll miss your smile on the Penngrove campus every day and wish you the best in this next chapter.
THANK YOU!!!
Dear Panthers,
I have shared many magical moments teaching, laughing, and learning as a PennPanther. This has always been my happy place and a fantastic place to grow as an educator and a person. The 2021-22 school year will be my final year at Penngrove and PCS. This summer my family will be moving from our Santa Rosa home to Mr. Sposato's childhood home in Sebastopol. I will take some time to help my family transition and look for another teaching job closer to our new home and community. Thank you Penngrove for making the last 10 years such a glowing experience. This school will always be a special place for me. I am grateful for all the students, families and staff members that I have met along the way. I look forward to making the next few weeks really count by soaking up all the spirit, love and brightness Penngrove has to offer.
- Mrs. Heather Sposato
Fantastic Job Opportunities in School-Based Mental Health
Petaluma City Schools is hiring part-time Guidance Specialists to provide mental health counseling in our elementary and secondary school sites. If you have a passion for working with children, enjoy collaborating with educators and specialists, and would appreciate the benefits of a school schedule, then please consider applying for our vacancies.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain experience and hours towards licensure. PCS also offers a significant increase in salary once licensure is obtained, which we hope will promote long-term employment. Licensed clinicians are also welcome to apply.
