1/18/2019: Your Weekly Update for Mayfield Intermediate

End of the 2nd Quarter is Coming

It's hard to believe, but the end of the 2nd quarter of school is next week! We are halfway through the school year. I'm so incredibly proud of all the work that our students have done throughout the first half of the year. We are definitely living up to the hashtag, #MayfieldISProud.

The midway point in the school year is a great time for reflection and setting new goals that will help make the second half of the school year even better. Some goals may include reading 20 minutes a day, working on iReady for 40 minutes a week, or simply making sure that all assignments are completed and turned in. Whatever your goal is, I want you to know that you have teachers and administrators here at Mayfield that are ready to help you achieve your goal.

An Amazing Bobcat!

I would like to highlight a recent news article that was posted on www.LocalDVM.com regarding one of our very own Mayfield Bobcats. Jacob adopts two fire hydrants in the City of Manassas and makes sure that those fire hydrants are accessible for the fire department during snow storms. Jacob will go out and shovel the snow around the fire hydrant so that the hydrant is visible in the case of an emergency. This is a great example of a Mayfield Bobcat student going above and beyond in order to help his community. #MayfieldISProud!

Great job Jacob!
