Seniors are given TWO excused absences for College Days. In order to have the absences excused, it will be necessary to turn in a note on college letterhead with the student's name and date of the visit. This should be turned in to Mrs. Wood in Attendance.

AES Engineers Scholarship
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Scholarship Criteria
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
Amount of award: $500.00
Deadline for entry: October 6, 2017

There is no application packet for this award. Please do not include your resume at this time. Be sure to include your full name as well as the name of the school you are attending this year and your plans for next year. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

IT'S REALLY ALL ABOUT THE EDUCATION
It's often been said that "education is the key to success." What doors could your educational "key" open? It's not cheap to get a college degree, and many college-bound students see a shut door for education. We're here to help open it again.
School can get expensive, so we want to know how winning a $3,000 All About Education Scholarship could help make a difference in your life. Will it ease the burden of student loans? Will it offer you the opportunity to pursue a dream? Will it help you inspire others to work towards their own goals?

Applicants must:
- Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
- Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia

American Legion Legacy Scholarship
ARMY ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS
YOUR COMMITMENT
- An eight-year service commitment with the Army.
- Serve full time in the Army for four years and four years with the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).
- Selected Cadets may choose to serve part time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while pursuing a civilian career
ASHRAE Scholarship
$3,000 scholarships available to a college freshmen enrolled full-time in an undergraduate pre-engineering, engineering or engineering technology program leading to a bachelor degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30%.

BigSun Scholarship - $500
All student athletes are eligible to apply for the BigSun Scholarship, regardless of sport. Requires a short essay to a prepared question. $500 available to announced winners. Application deadline is June 19, 2017.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina Columbia Urban League Scholarship
This $5000 scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating African-American high school senior who resides in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Fairfield, Sumter, Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee, and Allendale counties. Applicants must: Have been a participant in a Columbia Urban League program. Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 to be eligible. Meet financial need requirement. Be accepted by an accredited college or university at the time of the scholarship award.

Digital Privacy Scholarship
Are you a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level? Digital Privacy Scholarship is sponsored by Digital Responsibility Organization as it’s important to understand that almost anything you post on the Internet is neither temporary nor private. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand why you should be cautious about what you post on the Internet. Students will get a chance to win $1000 through the scholarship program. George Rogers Foundation of the Carolinas Scholarship
Attached you will find the application for the George Rogers Foundation of the Carolinas Scholarship. Award amounts will vary. Applicants must be a: South Carolina Resident, First-generation college student - defined as a student whose parent(s) have not graduated from an institute of higher education with a four-year degree High school senior or a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievements and honors, extracurricular and volunteer participation, work experience and essay responses. Application submissions will be scored using a scholarship application scoring rubric.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship
The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to the dependent children of U.S. military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled as a result of an operational mission or training accident, or a U.S. military personnel who is classified as a prisoner of war (POW) or missing in action (MIA). You must also maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full time to remain on scholarship and to be eligible to renew your scholarship.
Lexington County Law Enforcement Officer's Association Scholarship
The Lexington County Law Enforcement Officers’ Association is now accepting applicants for $1,000 scholarships from high school seniors currently attending any high school within Lexington County or any Home Schooled student graduating this spring within Lexington County.
Applicants must be graduating in spring of 2017. Applicants must plan to attend an institution of higher learning such as a two or four-year college or technical college and provide proof of such. Applicant must complete and submit an Entry Form accompanied with his/her essay on their topic of choice. (Only one entry per applicant.) Click here for an entry form. Deadline is April 30, 2017.

When recruiting candidates for the Law Enforcement field, what methods of recruiting/marketing would be most effective in today’s competitive environment for attracting applicants to Law Enforcement Agencies? What strategies can be put in place in order to retain “career officers”? 2. Should Marijuana be a medical option? Discuss pros and cons. Choose a preference and present an argument in its defense.
Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity
The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity is provided by the Community Foundation for high school junior, a high school senior or an undergraduate student. The scholarship aims to honor students who excel as creative problem-solvers and to help make their higher education goals more accessible. The Community Foundation gives 3 or 6 awards of up to $20,000 each to applicants, who will demonstrate exceptional innovation and creativity.The Community Foundation is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the United States and remains the largest grant maker in a twenty-town region located in the heart of central Connecticut.
Eligibility: High school juniors or seniors who are planning on attending an institution of higher education in CT or NYC.

Peck Law Firm Scholarship
The Peck Law Firm of Charleston, SC is proud to announce the 2017 Peck Law Firm Scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship is dedicated to helping the scholarship winner pay for a college, graduate school, or law school degree. Deadline is May 31, 2017.
This scholarship is open to any American citizen, who will have graduated from high school before July 1, 2017. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship will be judged and awarded primarily on academic achievement and a written response of not more than 1,000 words to the essay question. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and resumes. Apply Here.
Ronald D. Weiss $2,500 College Scholarship Contest
The cost of obtaining a college education has grown rapidly over the past few decades, making it more and more difficult for many people to realize their educational goals. As an attorney, Ronald D.
