Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Paying for College! Now Open!


Applications for the 2019-2020 FAFSA start on October 1 and run through June 30, 2020. The FAFSA can be tricky however,L.E.E.P is here to help you! Here are some crucial pieces of info you will need before you fill out the info:

  • Social Security Number (or Alien Registration Number if you are not a US citizen)
  • Student’s driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Tax return for you (and your parents, if applicable) from the prior-prior year. For the 2019-2020 FAFSA, this is your 2017 tax return.
  • Bank statements, records of investments, and records of untaxed income (such as veteran’s non education benefits and child support)
  • An FSA ID to electronically sign the form (students and parents will each need their own FSA ID)

Students and Parents will learn about the FAFSA Application, how to find Scholarships and receive a Scholarship Manual listing available scholarships and due dates will be shared with participants. Limited seating: 20.

College Is Just a Walk-A-Way 5K

Our 3rd Annual: College is Just A-Walk-Away 5K will be held in Prince George's County on Saturday, November 3rd! Funds raised will benefit our College Scholars to help pay for books, send care packages, and just money to use while away at college in case of emergency. It will also help cover the cost for college tours for our middle and high school students to visit colleges where they will one day attend. Please consider joining us or making a donation starting today. Because, college is really just a walk away!
