MATH VIDEOS!!!! As we continue this learning time online, please check with your students that they are starting their math lessons by watching the teaching videos posted in their teacher’s Google Classroom. These instructional videos should help studens tremendously with their at-home learning. It’s also important students attend their zoom classes as well since teachers are instructing in those sessions. Students should watch their videos, practice their skills (mostly with IXL or Khan Academy), then complete their checkpoints or any ConnectEd assignment for their grade. It’s important students do ALL their activities to fully study and learn math.

IXL!!! - In a skill practice of IXL, students should target a smart score of 80 to be considered proficient. A target of 100 is considered mastery of a skill. As skills are mastered students can return to their recommendation wall to choose other skills. Students should return to the diagnostic section periodically, answer 15-20 questions so the system can update their levels. This is an on-going support for skills mastery! Please help us encourage your student to use this time to fill in any gaps in their math skills and extend their learning. This is such a great opportunity for academic growth!!!!
Additional information on IXL can be found here.
