As we get into the school year, the character trait we are focusing on this month is Respect! Respect encompasses a lot. Below is some of the language we'll be using to describe respect. We love partnering with you, and we want to ensure you know which traits we're focusing on! Thank you for sharing your students with us!

Hawktober Fest Performance
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be performing a sample of our Veterans Day program, at Hawktober Fest, on Saturday, October 12th at 9:30am. Hawktober Fest will be taking place at the Red Oak High School Courtyard. This is an optional performance. There will be lots of fun activities going on throughout the morning. Information regarding our November Veterans Day program will be coming home very soon. We hope you will join us on Saturday. If your child will be participating, please be at the staging area, in the courtyard, by 9:15am. If they are also participating in the Family Fun Run, join us as soon as you are finished.

Morning Drop off Reminder
Treats for school
Just a reminder that any treats brought to school (birthday cupcakes, etc.) must be store bought with the ingredients on the package. Due to student allergies, we cannot allow homemade goods to be shared with other students. Birthday celebrations are held at the end of the school day. Food cannot be shared in the cafeteria.

Standardized Dress Code
Below is important information for all parents and students.
- Spirit shirts can be worn every day.
- Spirit shirts should be maroon, white or gray and have the words Red Oak or Hawks on them.
- Hoodies are still allowed; however the hoods may not be worn while at school.
- Student ID’s should be worn at all times during the school day. Secondary students will also need to wear their ID badges while riding the bus.
- Jackets worn during the day must follow dress code guidelines.
