Staff of the Week
Mr. Parrick is a first year teacher for Verona, but has been teaching for six years. He attended Max Creek Schools, which is near Lake of the Ozarks. He then went to MSU in Springfield. He is our Ag teacher, a subject in which he has good history in. He once took an Ag Science team to third place in the nation! He said if he wasn’t an Ag teacher, he would be a welder. On his free time he enjoys trapshooting and bird hunting. There’s many things Mr. Parrick likes about Verona, but his favorite are the community and the awesome ag facility. Oh, and he’s not single Parrick; he’s married Parrick. He has a wife named Paige.
Student of the Week
Freshman Will Koehler is a great student. Academically, he excels in all his classes and is very close to the top of his class. Personally, he is very respectful and honest to everyone he meets. He is a great listener and works well with others. When he graduates, he plans on working on the family farm. He is part of a family of seven, including himself, his mom, dad, sister, and three doggos. He is very into model railroading which enhances his attention to detail. Will is extremely fond of Verona and does not want anything to change. He likes that it’s a small town with good sports programs, and that everyone gets along. It is also worth mentioning that Will’s voice is super deep.
