We are now at the time of the year where we need to start planning for the 2019-2020 school year. In order to help us plan more effectively we would like to gather some input from each staff member. Please understand that not all requests will be able to be granted, but if we don’t know what you are thinking, we won’t know what to consider. Please respond to the survey ASAP. Safety and Security: Front Doors Locked UPDATE
THERE WILL NO LONGER BE AN ADULT MANNING THE DOOR!
We now have THREE keyless entry doors at DOerre!!! There is one in front, one by the cafe and one by the T buildings!!! We only received 10 key cards, so we will be ordering more so that every employee has one. We have given the first few to the early birds. Now, if you already have a key....nothing changes, just let yourself in like normal.
THERE WILL NO LONGER BE AN ADULT MANNING THE DOOR! There are to be no students allowed into the building before 8 AM without an adult meeting them at the door.
Be sure to tell them where they can enter the building. Please do not let someone come to you at 7:30 and then release them at 7:45 if they finish early. You are responsible for them until 8.

Cha, Cha, Cha CHANGES- INNOVATION
Last week we proudly celebrated over 260 Parent University Graduates including 58 previous participants who chose to continue their learning and earn a Master Credit Distinction! All of these incredible graduates have made a commitment to their children’s education by strengthening their partnerships between school and home. We are so grateful for the leadership of our Family Engagement department and Parent University campuses for making this program a success for our families.
We also want to congratulate Claudia Favela, Klein High senior, for earning the State Board of Education’s Student Hero Award for her tireless efforts in raising awareness about childhood cancer, She is 1 of 15 students in the state to receive this honor!
In The Exchange this week…
- Gaining Wisdom by Mastering Emotions--Kuehnle Instructional Specialist Michele Garland identifies ten common habits to avoid to successfully master our emotions.
- Need EL Exchange Hours?--Learn more about earning designated English Learner credit this summer for exchange hours.

Relationship Driven: #purposefulkindness
If we can create a community where no one is left behind and seen as an outcast, then we can focus on helping one another and building up each other’s strengths, allowing our world to be better for EVERYONE. Imagine the things our community can accomplish when everyone comes together and works towards a common goal.
~Klein Cain Culture4Caring Student Director Brayden Espinosa (You can read the whole awesome post here.)
PASS IT ON- honor your students and colleagues with a note. #purposefulkindness note cards can be found in any of the grade level offices, the front office, and in the teacher's lounge.
