What is BDD?
BDD is a mental health disorder in which a person obsesses over a perceived defect on their body. The defect is usually very minor, or sometimes even nonexistent. Currently, about 1% of the world's population has BDD. That's about 73,000 people!
What are the Symptoms of BDD?
Some symptoms of BDD are scarring or dis figuration on your skin, due to constantly picking at your skin. Other symptoms include feeling very self conscious, and not wanting to go out into public. If you have BDD, you may also experience problems at work/school, due to the obsession over the perceived defect. Another symptom could be constantly looking in the mirror, as well as constantly asking others if the defect is visible.
What Can You Do If You Have BDD?

If you're feeling bad right now because you think you have BDD, don't worry! You're not alone. Michael Jackson, a famous singer, probably had BDD. He is famously known for his arbitrary amount of cosmetic surgery, but constantly denying that he did it.
