From the Principal:
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe this is the last newsletter of the 2018-2019 school year. What a wonderful year it has been! It has been a pleasure to work alongside all of you to see your children grow into respectful and responsible leaders. I am so proud of the community we have here at Frankton Elementary. We come together and support each other through all the ups and downs. We are grateful for everything you have done to support our staff and students. Thank you.
If you look above you may notice our Mission Statement has been updated. With input from parents, community members, staff, and students, we created our new mission statement. The three words that we continually want to instill in our students and culture are Empower Encourage and Inspire. Be on the lookout for how we can help empower, encourage, and inspire our students each and everyday here at Frankton Elementary.
Take a look at the upcoming events as we wrap up the year. We are excited for our field day on May 23rd as well as our sixth grade awards day on May 24th at 12:00PM. Please let your child’s teacher know if you can volunteer for the field day. We hope you have an incredible, relaxing summer to sharpen the saw. Come back ready for another awesome year!
Thank you,
Mr. Bowman
The 7 Habits
Have you noticed our new signs placed in the front and back of the school? As you know Frankton Elementary is empowering students to become leaders by teaching staff and students about the importance of the 7 habits. We want to encourage families to discuss these habits at home as well. By simply hearing the same language at home and at school, you can send your child a very powerful message that we are in this together. Each month as we focus on a new habit we will be placing a sign out in the front and back of the school. The sign tells the habit we are working on and a short explanation of its meaning. Please use these signs as a way to initiate conversations with your child at home. Together we can make a difference.
