The BMS jazz band received a superior rating from the judges.

Additionally, the middle school jazz group received a plaque for third overall in their class! Soloist awards were given to Ceci Zamora, Rachel Savage, Carson Dent, and Payton Edmonds. One of the judges commented that their playing of "Serenade to a Cuckoo" by Roland Kirk was the best individual chart of the day that he had heard at their venue!

On Saturday, the BMS and BHS jazz bands traveled to Warrensburg for the University of Central Missouri Jazz Festival. Both groups received three straight 1 superior ratings from each of the judges! Additionally, Marcellus Weinzierl and Carson Dent received awards in Outstanding Musicianship for their individual performances and solos.
