Mustang Message
Week of February 10, 2014
A Principal's Perspective
Thank you for a great, learning afternoon yesterday! Words I have thought about from our day: courageous, innovative, brave, experts, having a dream, never finished, never satisfied, and always looking for a better way. We learned about ourselves through the lens of an airport. We were inspired by Southwest Airlines that reminded us that success is about the people in the organization. Finally, Diana Nyad inspired us to remember the importance of our team and that we can't do our job without each team member. In thinking about our conversations, I feel confident that our GP mission supports our goal for student success. Take a look below at our school mission Wordle. It will take each one of us to work as a team to aspire to the goals we have set for ourselves. If you want to review or finish watching the clips, I linked them for you in our Mustang Message below. I also created a Wordle out of our personal word definitions. See below.
Mustang Message is out a day earlier because I will be out tomorrow. I will be in Houston working with my sisters on getting my dad's estate in order. Have a great weekend!

50 Men Who Can Cook- We don't have a total amount as of yet, but we do know that the event raised over $125,000! Thank you to Joshua Booker and Jordan Killingsworth who were our very own cooks representing GP. They made blonde brownies. These were not your average type brownies. They were moist and made with applesauce! YUM!
CSHS Boys Basketball Team: Trying to celebrate the 100th day of school but fell short by 2 points, 98-70, the CSHS boys basketball team beat the Taylor Ducks and earned a bid to the district playoffs!!! The Cougars set a school scoring record and made a serious bid for the first 100 point game in the program's two year season. Great coaching Coach Sullivan, Kristy's husband!
