Macleans Primary School Community
Hi Everyone
Welcome to the 2023 School Year at Macleans Primary School! Although we had a delayed start to the year the learning has definitely not been delayed as numeracy, literacy and inquiry is well underway across the school!
Please join me in welcoming two new teachers this year: Mrs Louise Love teaching Year 1 in Room 1 and Mrs Adelle Hunkin teaching Y4/Y5 in Room 19. See below for a full list of teachers and support staff.
A fair bit has happened and is happening with the property side of things over the past couple of months and during the year. See below for more details.
I have had a few queries from children about the Hunger Hut opening this Friday. We are aiming to open the Hunger Hut on Friday before school beginning next Friday, 17 Februray. Details coming home next week.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at the Family Picnic and 'Meet The Teacher'. (and if you are free for a couple of hours from 9am, don't forget the working bee Saturday morning for :)))
Regards & Nga Mihi

We are beginning the search for a new caretaker, so if you know someone who enjoys a social working environment, is handy and is looking for a Monday to Friday job, then please ask them to contact me here at Macleans Primary on m.cooke@macleansprimary.school.nz. Feel free to pop in for a chat too!

The pool will be open rain or shine on Friday afternoons from 3.15 to 4.15. Ice-blocks will be for sale. There will be a main supervisor from the school and possibly PTA. We do not know how popular this will be so we will manage numbers accordingly at the pool. ie. we may have to do 15 minute interval swims.
Parent information Sessions 2023
At the end of last year we ran 2023 parent information sessions. Please download the information below.
NO School Donations at Macelans Primary School

If your child is on a sports team, there maybe a cost associated with this. Also, overnight camp experiences camp are asked to be paid for. For more information on School Donations, please download the factsheet below.
