WHAT DOES MARKETING ENCOMPASS?
Marketing: all things related to promoting and running a business.
A marketing researcher is interested in discovering the "whys" of marketing more than
the "hows." They play a integral role in forming a marketing campaign by focusing on
understanding consumer behavior and connecting it with consumerism.
In high-tech marketing, a marketer works with new technologies and products that improve
the world around us. Thus, a lot of research and development goes into the process.
To learn more about these career fields as well as other ones, you can access Vault (free for William & Mary students) to learn about job outlook, salaries, work environments, qualifications and more! To access Vault, go to Tribe Careers first. On the navigation menu on the left hand side, under Jobs, click on Vault Guides. Then search for any job position!
