Join the District Parent Advisory Committee
At GISD we strive to continuously improve our district through a cooperative effort between our schools, parents, and the community. As a means to provide an avenue for this conversation, Dr. Stewart will once again form a Parent Advisory Committee. The PAC is open to any parent or community member who is willing to provide feedback and input into what our district is doing well and what can be improved upon.
The PAC will meet four times throughout the year, with the first meeting being held on Monday, September 30, from 5:30-6:30pm at the Administration building, 800 S. Morris St.
Additional meetings will be held on November 21, January 23, and April 23.
If you are interested in being a valuable member of this group, please contact Kay Neu at 940-665-4362 or kneu@gainesvilleisd.org.
Title 1 Parent Meeting
Teacher and Employee of the Month
Lee Students of the Month
John Jackson
Nominated by: Sarah Henry
John is a student that I always see giving his very best. In class, he is attentive and focused. In the hallway I have seen him helping others numerous times. In the cafeteria he is respectful and works so hard on his table manners, which is something we have been talking about in 4th period lunch. He has a wonderful attitude and is a great choice for our first student of the month.
Tony Nava
Nominated by: Kelly Stogner
Tony is a hard worker, always does what he is supposed to, and is a compassionate and caring friend to others. I have a little girl in the same class with him who can be a challenge. None of the other students sat by her, and Tony sat at her table instead of with other boys. He is so patient and kind to her. I can’t even begin to imagine the impact that he has on her. I’m sure she has to notice that Tony is willingly sitting there by choice and being her friend. I wish we had more students with such compassion.
