Colton Hills School Bulletin
8 June 2023
Introduction by Mr Blower, Acting Headteacher
Welcome to our bulletin, in which we share all of the exciting things that have been happening over the last few weeks in school, as well as important information.
As we move into the final half-term of the school year, we can start to look forward to all of the great things that the end of the year brings. Students have a couple of weeks of important assessments upcoming – as well as Year 11 and Year 13 completing formal exams – but once this hard work is done there are lots of other things to get ready for!
In the summer term, we have our annual German Exchange visit, our residentials at Gelliwig and our PGL residential returns after success last year. We will be celebrating student achievement in the return of our Celebration Evening in July, and hosting our first school show in more than a decade, a version of the Wizard of Oz, in the last weeks of term. We also look forward to welcoming our next Year 7 students and inducting our new Sixth Form, the Prom and so much more…
There has never been more to be proud about at our school, and I hope that you enjoy reading all about it.

Year 13 Leavers Assembly
We had our Year 13 Leavers Assembly on 25th May and awards were given out (sensible ones and jokey ones including the Colton Comedian Award). We will be sad to say goodbye to these students who have been with us for a few years and we hope they have fond memories of their time at Colton Hills.
Mr Gittins, our Deputy Headteacher said:"These students have had a particularly tough ride through the COVID pandemic and have shown great resilience and deteremination in the last couple of years. I wish them all the best for their future."
