Clinton-Massie Elementary Receives Momentum Award from Ohio Department of Education

The Momentum Award is presented by the State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities. Congrats to the administration, staff, and parents!

Marching Band with a Banner Year!

The Marching Band finished their competition season Sunday, November 5th, at the Ohio Music Educators State Finals. This is the second year in a row the marching band has qualified for the state finals, and only the fourth time in school history! The group received an overall excellent rating for their performance. The marching band is proud to have placed in the top three at every local competition this year. They received first place, best guard, and best percussion at the Hamilton competition. The band received third place trophies at the Loveland and Piqua competition. The colorguard received best guard in class B and Overall Guard Champions (beating 12 groups) at the Piqua band competition. The marching band also received a second place at the Colerain Band Competition. The highlight of the season was when the marching band got to experience band on a national level. They competed in the Bands of American Super Regional in Indianapolis. The group received amazing feedback and were able to watch bands from around the country.
