In Case You Missed It
I learned that we met our hours for the PTO Thrift Shop and actually gained seven additional hours in the month of June from Bonnie Marshall. Thank you to everyone that went this year! That money will help our PTSO support our school!
Congratulations to Jessica Cole. She married Matt during spring testing and became Mrs. Maskulka. They took their honeymoon right after school got out. I apologize for not reporting earlier. I've been in a testing fog!
Congratulations to Lauren Black! She and her husband, are expecting their first child in February!
Please keep Alice McIver in your thoughts and prayers. She has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will undergo surgery to remove her thyroid.
Valerie Long turned in her resignation. She recently moved to Raleigh and will be teaching at a middle school near her home.
Melissa Paschal turned in her resignation. She wanted to take a job closer to home to be near her son during the day. She accepted a position at a Charter School in Wake Co.
Welcome the following new members to the Stallion Family:
- Amy Braren is coming to us from West Lee Middle. She will be teaching 8th grade science.
- Lindsay Gaines is coming to us from Chatham Middle in Siler City. She will be teaching 6th grade language arts and science.
- Casey Giambalvo is coming to us from CM Eppes Middle in Greenville. She will be teaching reading resource.
- Zach Groves is coming to us from E.B. Frink Middle in La Grange. He will be teaching 7th grade social studies
- Stacie Thomas is coming to us from West Lee Middle. She will be teaching 7th grade social studies.
Our grade level teams have agreed to move to college team/mascot names for next year. I will be sharing a google form for each team to place their new college/mascot/team. Make sure to collaborate and get input from everyone on the team to decide your new name. I only need one person per teacher team to submit.
What happened???
Just to give you a heads up, we did not allocate for this overage and will have to take the money off the top of next year's money. This is almost half of what we are allotted in state funds. So, please be prepared...money is going to be TIGHT. It will be necessary to cut something/s we are used to having to pay this bill.
I loved this idea!
