Amendment 1

Summary

The first amendment was made to protect a persons rights such as their practice

of religion, their right to speak freely such as a persons thoughts or opinions or of the press, and for people to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.


What it means

Congress cant make laws that defeat the purpose of a persons freedom of speech or the press, the banning or prohibiting of a religious practice, and to petition the government of grivances.

Summary

The right that gives citizens of the US to Bear Arms or to own firearms in a persons possession.


What it means

A well regulated Militia, if necessary for someone to fight for their state, and to bear arms that shall not be broken or changed
