Workshop Description & Overview

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) prepared the curriculum to provide training to child care providers about communicable diseases, measures to take to control the spread of diseases and related child health issues. This workshop fulfills the staff in-service requirement of prevention, recognition, and management of a communicable disease. The curriculum is based upon Caring for Our Children, National Health and Safety Performance Standards: Guidelines for Out-of-Home Child Care and Infectious Disease Control Manual.

Food: Coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided (soda will be available for $0.50)

What time should I arrive at the training site? Please arrive 15 minutes early to each session to complete the check-in process. The ESC opens at 8:00 am. Please enter through Entrance 3 around the back of the building, and check-in with the administrative assistant before proceeding to Conference Room B.

Food & Beverage: Coffee, bottled water, and assorted breakfast bars will be available through out the session. Participants are also free to bring snack items for themselves or to share with the group.

What You Should Bring? Participants should bring note taking materials and writing utensils with them to the session.

Our Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must be received by Friday, September 6, 2019, at 3:00 pm. Cancellations received after this date, up until the date of the event, will receive a fifty percent refund. Individuals who register and are "no show" or cancel the morning of will pay the full registration fee.
