Morning Drop Off
If you are dropping your child off at the front of the school in the morning, please be sure to pull your car all the way up to the front of the drop-off area. Cars have been stopping near the garden entrance, which causes a backup. Students can still enter through the garden doors, but will need to walk on the sidewalk after getting out of their car. Thank you!

PE News at Coyote Creek
It is so wonderful to have the students back in school!!! PE looks a little different as we have strict rules with students sharing equipment, social distancing, and cleaning equipment between classes. It eliminates many of the students' favorite games which involve lots of shared balls and team sport games with person-to-person offense and defense. We will be doing more individual skill development and some different sport activities (frisbee golf, miniature golf, jump rope, etc.) When we are in the gym, we all have to keep our masks on so we limit our cardiovascular fitness to what is more comfortable while wearing a mask. When going outside, we can take our masks off if we keep 6 feet or more away from one another. We are all learning this new distancing in our activities. One reminder is that your student only does online PE during the 2 weeks they are in PE at school. We are on a 2 week rotation - 2 weeks of PE, then 2 weeks of Art, followed by 2 weeks of Music. Your child's PE grade will reflect their participation in PE online and in school. Please encourage their self-responsibility to complete their PE at home. Again, I am so glad to see all of your kids back!
Message from our School Counselor
Please join me on Thursday, September 10th, 6-7pm for a Back To School, Parent Support Conversation. I will be hosting a virtual meet-up with CCE parents/guardians to talk with you about ways to support your students (and yourselves) as we all head back to school in this rather unusual way! Whether your child is enrolled in the Hybrid or 100% eLearning model, this conversation is for you! There will be a presentation and time for Q&A. Please register here and mark your calendar with this Google Meets Link!
The Pop Tab Recycling Program
The Pop Tab Recycling Program is a fundraising project to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver. The Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver and Aurora serve as a home away from home for many families whose children are seriously ill and are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
How the program works
Aluminum beverage can tabs are collected and sold for cash. Also tabs from soup, tuna, and fruit etc. cans can be collected.
These little pieces of metal can make a big difference!
Pop tabs can be delivered to the Ronald McDonald House of Denver, 1300 East 21st Avenue, Denver, CO 80205. They are then taken to the recycling center. In- or out-of-state groups can recycle the tabs themselves and send the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House, as well.
This project continues to be a success because it makes it possible for any individual or group to make a contribution. It is an easy and fun task for young and old and a great way to lend support to children and their families during a time of crisis.
*Since the 2000-01 school year, the families of Coyote Creek have helped collect over 450 gallons of tabs! Every gallon collected equals one night at the Ronald McDonald House. This has allowed families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House for FREE for 450 nights!
Please collect your tabs and your child can bring them to the front office. Thank you so very much for helping!
