NETSMARTZ VISITS DFJHS

We had Cole Parkinson from NetSmartz visited our students at Diamond Fork this past week. He discussed internet safety, and how to be smart users of technology. It was a phenomenal presentation!

Over the coming weeks, we will share some ideas, tips and suggestions from NetSmartz for you to do with your children in the home! Below is our first link. It is Cole Parkinson (who visited our school) going through the message he shared with our students. We encourage you to take the time to watch!

DFJHS ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE

The Annual DFJHS Annual Food Drive is here! It will run through this Friday (November 20th). 7th Period classes will compete for the highest number of donated food items. Prizes will include a class pizza party, root beer float party, and various candy prizes.

OUR SCHOOL GOAL IS 25,000 ITEMS!!

In addition to the traditional food items, the Utah Valley Emergency Food Bank is encouraging cash donations. Their food connections allow them to purchase more food dollar per dollar than we can as retail customers. Because of this, a $1donation to this year's food drive will count as the equivalent of 10 food items donated.

So, Diamondbacks, let's show that WE ARE ONE and we live the core value of COMPASSION and donate food and/or money to benefit those less fortunate!

FIRST TERM HONOR ROLL

Congratulations to the 869 students who achieved Honor Roll in 1st Term! That's an incredible accomplishment for each individual student and for our school! Our students are to be commended for their dedication and hard work!

If you didn't quite make it this term, let's work hard to make sure you make it 2nd Term! We are here to help and support any way we can!

First Term's List of Honor Roll Students can be found by CLICKING HERE!

BASKETBALL SEASON POSTPONED

Junior high basketball season has been postponed for at least one more week. We will update information as plans change and develop.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. Please do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 so we can resume winter sports ASAP.

WRESTLING SEASON POSTPONED

Junior high wrestling season has been postponed for at least one more week. We will update information as plans change and develop.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. Please do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 so we can resume winter sports ASAP.

ONLINE MEAL ORDERING FOR AT-HOME LEARNERS

The best way to order school lunch and/or breakfast for students who are not at school is to fill out a survey each day for each student. This includes kindergarten and preschool students, remote learning students of all grades and any students home due to COVID restrictions. You will need to order before 9 a.m. each morning. Meals are only provided on scheduled school days. For special circumstances, you can still call the school to place your order.

This would also be the method of ordering breakfast and lunch if your student is required to stay home for quarantine or for other COVID-19 related schedule adjustments or closures.

To place your order, please go CLICK HERE.

By way of reminder, meals can be picked up in the front office between10:15 and 10:30 each morning.

We hope this makes the process easier for all involved. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

AFTERNOON TEACHER HELP TIME

We want to ensure that all our students (and parents) are aware that our teachers are available to help our students each week. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday teachers are here to support students from 1:55-2:45! Whether it is a test re-take, a make-up test, a missing assignment or just a question, your teachers are here to help!

We encourage all our students to make good use of this time! You are welcome to stay after on your own accord, or we may invite you to stay. Either way, we want to help you!
