Lil Steamer Families --
As we continue on this most unusual school year, there are a couple pieces of data that I want to share with you. These stand out to me as a testament to the collaborative effort from our #SteamerNation community to keep our kids safe.
- As of today, we have only had 10 total COVID-positive cases for PK-5 students. With 435 students, that is 2.3%.
- As of today, we have only had 10 total COVID-positive cases for FBP/FES staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, substitutes, etc.)
It's an amazing statistic that has helped keep our doors open and students in school. I know I've said it a thousand times before, but once more doesn't hurt...
THANK YOU from all of us at the Greatest Little Elementary School in the Universe!
Enjoy the 3-day weekend!

Martin Luther King Jr. made it his life’s mission to bring compassion, fairness, and racial equality to all. His “I Have A Dream” Speech called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism.
Drawing inspiration from King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, ask you children what their dreams are. What inspires them? Talk about ways that your family can make the world a better place. You can also write them down and hang the paper on your fridge (or elsewhere in your home) to serve as a source of inspiration throughout the year.

Cozy Cave Day
All 2nd grade ended their Polar Bear unit in Science with a COZY CAVE DAY!!! It sure was a “white out” in the classroom! The day consisted of reading in snow dens, doing a blubber experiment, writing winter words in snow and a STEM activity creating igloos. Oh & we cannot forget the morning .... when Mr.Hoese came in to greet us 2nd grade was up to “Snow good”. Little did he know the students had paper snowballs ready for action when he came through the door!
