In addition, as students begin to hear back from schools we ask that they update the status (accepted, denied, waitlisted) to their college list on Naviance. And, finally, for those seniors who are still working through the process and figuring out their plans beyond high school please know that your counselors are here for you!
WHS Quest Internship Program
Hello senior parents,
I am excited to share with you a 4th quarter (6 week) senior internship program here at WHS called Quest. Quest is a unique opportunity for WHS seniors to explore internships/hands on work experience instead of coming to school here at WHS. Their 4th quarter can be Quest!
The Quest program has been here at WHS for over 4 decades (I even participated in it myself in 1986). Over the years, hundreds of WHS students have taken advantage of this program to learn about/explore potential careers of interest.
Students typically advocate for themselves and set up their own internships, but I am here to assist in any way I can. The internship must be a minimum of 32 hours/week. This does not have to be a traditional workday however, it can include nights or weekends if that is the nature of the internship.
Please see the “Quest” link below for further details and tell your WHS senior to look out for emails from me (in January 2023) regarding this opportunity.
Thank you and please reach out to me with any questions.
Nikki Miller
Quest director
